- Try the food on the night markets and the street food. Especially in Bangkok and Chiang Mai the food is very tasty!
- Take some cash with you (US dollars or Euros). It can happen that your debit card does not work (or gets lost) and having some cash on hand can come in handy.
- Rent a scooter. It is the easiest and most fun way to explore large parts of the country and it gives you a lot of freedom.
- Learn a few words of the Thai language. This makes traveling easier. You can even try to record some sentences in advance at home!
- Watch out for scams. Especially with locals selling tours in major cities, that sometimes happens. Ask for tips and prices at your accommodation. They often know the real prices.
